Sports
Welcome to Christ Church sports. Sport at Christ Church is something that most people are likely to get involved in at some point in their time here, and this is facilitated by the sports ground that we own, which is widely recognised to be the best college grounds in Oxford thanks to maintainence by our legendary groundsman Barrie Hearne. The atmosphere down at the SG is warm and friendly, and is an excellent social centre, particularly on weekends. The facilities include rugby, football, hockey and cricket pitches, and both hard and grass tennis courts.
The sports on offer vary in type, and in standard, but on the whole, there is no way that anybody who wanted to get involved would not be able to do so. A variety of standards are catered for by the large number of teams that there are in most sports, be they male, female, or even mixed. To find out about sport at Christ Church talk to the sports rep or any of the captains below.

College netball is a great way to be involved in college life, you will make new friends and represent Christ Church against the other colleges in a league called Cuppers. There are two practice sessions and one game every week, we'll organise them to suit timetables as best as we can. The social secretary is Carina Lindberg who will be there to help me organise nethball nights out, crew dates and the like. I really hope that anyone who is inerested will come along to the first few practices because college sport enables you to get involved while retaining a sense of fun. Looking forward to meeting everyone, and a successful season.

The college boat club is the biggest college society. Rowing is arguably the most iconic sport at Oxford, even before you consider the Boat Race. If you're interested in learning how to row and racing with us against the other colleges then come along to the Rowing BBQ in Freshers' Week to find out more, sign up and get involved.
